Description

Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality Australian regional wines. However, from time to time you can come across a winery or vineyard that perfectly exemplifies a sense of fun and produces a quirky range of wines from oddball grape varieties.

“Wild & Wilder is all about good clean fun. Working hand in hand with our merry band of growers, we craft wines of supreme quality at our Adelaide Hills winery, but we don’t take it all too seriously.”

“Great fruit from Barossa, Langhorne Creek, Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills, grown by great people, and made with a lot of love by those that know that wine is all about good times, tasty food and creating great memories.”

Wild & Wilder’s “Cloud Cuckoo Land” range is an affordable and quirky blend of Italian varietals that are incredibly drinkable without any fuss. For me, they offer great value for money, taste vibrant and have plenty of personality.

The 2020 “Cloud Cuckoo Land” Nero d’Avola Montepulciano is an unusual blend of varietals, but this wine has the characteristic energy you would expect from Italian reds. Deliciously succulent with smoky, dark cherry fruit, subtle spice, and a mouth-watering finish. Best enjoyed chilled either on its own or with food.
