Roving Sommelier loves wine and adores exquisite artisan chocolate and sweet treats. Over the years, award-winning sommelier Robert Giorgione has worked with many top pastry chefs and chocolatiers. These include William Curley, Sarah Frankland, Raffaella Baruzzo, Helen Heslop, Alexeeva & Jones in London, and Stephen Trigg of Leeds-based Lauden Chocolates.

As well as hosting many pop ups and tastings, Robert Giorgione has also won many awards for his sommelier skills and his expertise in food and wine matching.

In October 2012, Robert and Sarah Frankland competed in the prestigious Roussillon Dessert Trophy representing Team William Curley and won the UK Final held in London.

In April 2013, Robert and Sarah representing the UK as Team William Curley went on to compete in and win the European Final of the Roussillon Dessert Trophy held in Perpignan, South-west France. They successfully beat off the crème de la crème of international pastry chefs and sommeliers from Belgium, Holland, Denmark, and Germany.

Robert is passionate about sweet things, including artisan chocolates and dessert wines and currently stocks a wonderful range of interesting Vin Doux Naturel and other dessert wines from the best boutique vineyards from around the world.
