Description

Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality French regional wines. For me, Picpoul de Pinet is a very underrated wine and deserves to be discovered. This is a great example to try if you’ve never tasted one before. Château de la Mirande is located halfway between Beziers and Montpelier in the Coteaux du Languedoc wine region on France’s Mediterranean coast very close to the iconic Etang de Thau – the home to the finest fresh oysters. The vineyard benefits from the cooling sea breezes and the special terroir that the vines are grown on, which also provides freshness to the wine. Best enjoyed chilled and in a friendly atmosphere and the perfect partner to fresh seafood and shellfish, especially fresh oysters.

Alcohol: 13.5% abv (75cl)

Closure: Cork

Grape variety: Picpoul

Flavour Profile: Clean, Fresh, Dry and Fruity. Great with seafood, especially fresh oysters and delicate white fish dishes.
