Description

Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality regional wines. Personally speaking, Zweigelt is an interesting red wine to try, especially if you’ve never tasted one before. Think of an Austrian equivalent of a Beaujolais. Really fragrant and full of super fresh black cherry fruit with a soft, juicy texture. I think Judith Beck makes one of the best and she blends it with a little St Laurent to make Beck Ink. Judith also uses biodynamic winegrowing methods without chemicals. Best enjoyed lightly chilled with or without food and in a friendly atmosphere.

Alcohol: 12% abv (75cl)

Closure: Screwcap

Grape varieties: Zweigelt, St Laurent

Flavour Profile: Light-medium-bodied, Fragrant, Red and Black Fruits, Cherry, Plum. Great with flavoursome Duck and Pork dishes.
