Roving Sommelier loves premium quality sparkling wines from around the world. Even better when these expressive homegrown wines are made with love and care in England and Wales. For me, they are ideal for those who prefer their sparkling wines to be playful yet serious and perfect for parties and celebrations.

Kent based winery Simpsons’ Wine Estate creates fine English sparkling wines, which reflect the exquisite characteristics of their iconic, chalk terroir in the North Downs of Kent. Created from estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the Great British Classic Method classic cuvée is the epitome of English elegance and poise. Pale gold in colour, it has a complex, mineral nose with bright citrus flavours, linear precision, and impressive length.

This English sparkling wine is best enjoyed chilled and in a convivial atmosphere.
