Roving Sommelier loves dessert wines. What’s more, award-winning sommelier, Robert Giorgione has many years of experience matching sweet wines with desserts and chocolates. He’s even won a few special accolades and competitions where he matched top notch stickies from around the world with deliciously sweet treats. Andrew Quady first came onto Robert’s wine radar back in the mid-1990s when he was working as wine buyer and sommelier at Oxo Tower Restaurant on London’s South Bank. He’s been serving Quady’s quirky California-based dessert wines ever since. They’re great paired with chocolate and fruit-based puddings.
The experience of Essensia is unmistakable: a rich gold in the glass is accompanied by spicy orange-apricot-pear flavours and aromas, balanced with good fruit acidity to finish clean, tempting you for one more sip. Delicious!
