Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality Australian regional wines. Frankland Estate first came onto my wine radar around twenty years ago when I was working as a wine buyer and head sommelier in some of London’s most high-profile restaurants. Being a Riesling lover, and also a fine admirer and fan of many of Australia’s boutique vineyards, Frankland Estate soon became a personal favourite. The Rocky Gully wines are produced by Frankland Estate and are made to reflect the unique ironstone soils and the rugged, isolated terrain of the Frankland River region in Western Australia. Distinct, vibrant, and intense wines that express a sense of place. All in all, their share a similar philosophy to myself – in other words – wines made with love and care and express a unique terroir.
