Roving Sommelier loves premium quality sparkling and pink wines from around the world. Even better when these expressive wines are made with love and care. For me, they’re ideal for those who prefer their sparkling wines to be playful yet serious. They are perfect alternatives to traditional Champagne for parties and festivities. Prosecco is incredibly popular. However, I genuinely believe you have to spend a little more money to get something really authentic and special. For me, this organically produced vintage Prosecco made in very small quantities from a family owned vineyard in the heart of Valdobbiadene, really fits the bill. It’s possibly the best and most expressive Prosecco I’ve ever tasted. It’s crisp and fresh and bone-dry on the palate with a nice delicate texture and mouth-watering acidity on a long, lingering finish. So I reckon it’s worth every penny. Please note this wine is limited in availability. Best enjoyed well-chilled with or without food and in a convivial atmosphere.
