Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality regional Spanish wines. Celler de Capcanes is a family-owned winery that produces premium wines in the province of Catalonia, northern Spain. Mas Donis is produced in the Montsant D.O which surrounds the very prestigious Priorat denominacion, where highly prized wines are made by cult winegrowers. However, for me, this makes the Montsant region more underrated, and also (more importantly) more affordable and some wonderful French-influenced vinous gems can be discovered here, too.

After a short maceration, this pink wine has been slowly fermented at a cool, controlled temperature, resulting in an elegant and highly aromatic rosado wine. Vibrant red fruits and floral aromas with a juicy texture makes this a very drinkable, food friendly wine with a lovely refreshing natural acidity and primary red fruit character on the palate.

Best enjoyed served chilled, either on its own as a refreshing aperitif or with seasonal food and in a convivial atmosphere.
