Description

Roving Sommelier loves premium quality sparkling and pink wines from around the world. Even better when these expressive wines are made with love and care in England and Wales. For me, they’re ideal for those who prefer their sparkling wines to be playful yet serious and perfect for parties and celebrations.

Kingscote Estate is a family owned vineyard located near to East Grinstead in the heart of West Sussex. They are committed to bringing quality and finesse to every glass. In addition, Kingscote has been operating organically since 2019 as sustainability and the environment are of paramount importance to the vineyard. With an impressive history, Mill Place Farm was once owned by the famous horticulturist and father of the English country garden, William Robinson, in the early 1930s. The farmhouse itself was built in 1320 as an Iron Master’s house, while the visitor centre has recently been constructed from such heritage and consists of an original 15th Century Tithe barn. This inspiring building hosts wine tastings, conferences, events and private functions.

2018 Kingscote Sparkling Brut is a fine and elegant blend of Bacchus, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes, offering fresh yet subtle aromas of citrus fruits. Best served chilled (between 6 and 9 degrees centigrade) and in a convivial atmosphere.
