Description

Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality Australian regional wines. The Tahbilk story began in 1860 with the founding of the Estate and original vineyards. Purchased by Reginald Purbrick in 1925, five generations of the family have been actively involved in Tahbilk bringing a tradition of pride, hard work and a love of good wine to the unique heritage of being the oldest family owned winery and vineyard in Victoria, Australia.

2015 Cane Cut Marsanne – First planted on the Estate in the 1880s, Tahbilk has the largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide including vines dating back to 1927 that are amongst the oldest Marsanne vines in the world. Cutting the canes of the vine and allowing the fruit to hang prior to harvest concentrates the flavours and sugars to produce a luscious wine. This release sees sweet honeysuckle notes alongside fruity marmalade and tropical characters embraced by a fresh natural acidity; deliciously honeyed and succulent without being cloying.

Best enjoyed served chilled with or without desserts and sweet treats and in a convivial atmosphere.
