Description
Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality regional wines. Personally speaking, Zweigelt is an interesting red wine to try, especially if you’ve never tasted one before. Think of an Austrian equivalent of a Beaujolais. Really fragrant and full of black cherry fruit with a soft, juicy texture. I think Judith Beck makes one of the best and she also uses biodynamic farming methods without chemicals. Best enjoyed lightly chilled and in a friendly atmosphere.
Alcohol: 12.5% abv (75cl)
Closure: Screwcap
Grape variety: Zweigelt
Flavour Profile: Light-bodied, Fragrant, Red and Black Fruits, Cherry, Plum. Great with flavoursome Duck and Pork dishes.
