Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality New Zealand regional wines. Lawson’s Dry Hills is a family owned Marlborough winery premium quality wines that exhibit excellent depth of flavour and varietal expression. We take great pride in producing this Pinot Noir. For more than a decade we have worked with our own Waihopai Valley vineyard and the adjacent Barnsley Block. These sites are planted with multiple clones and over this time we have learnt what is required to produce beautiful parcels of fruit that produce expressive wines that have depth and finesse. In the winery small batch fermentation and maturation in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barrels help us to maximise the potential of these sites. This wine has wonderful power, concentration and opulence while maintaining its poise and elegance. Red berry fruit and dark cherry characters are intertwined with sweet spicy oak notes that work wonderfully with the wine’s ripe fine tannins. Best enjoyed with red meats, poultry and game dishes.
