2019 Lavradores de Feitoria, “Cheda” Branco, Douro Valley, Portugal
6 in stock
Roving Sommelier is passionate about premium quality regional wines, especially those from the Iberian Peninsula. Lavradores de Feitoria is a group of winegrowing families. This wine comes from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal and is produced from local grapes such as Malvasia Fina, Siria and Gouveio grown in higher altitude vineyards where cooler temperatures provide the ideal conditions for the even maturation of white grapes. The result is a zesty, aromatic wine with tropical fruit flavours and a refreshing crisp acidity. Cheda refers to the bars on the sides of ox carts used to carry barrels of wine in the Douro for many years, thereby playing a crucial role in local transport.
Best enjoyed chilled in a convivial atmosphere and with seafood dishes and salads.
