Description

Being a New Zealand Brand Ambassador, award-winning sommelier Robert Giorgione is passionate about New Zealand wines. It was in 1973 when Agnes and her Austrian born husband Hermann Seifried planted their first vineyard on the clay loam soils of the Moutere Valley in Nelson, the tip of New Zealand’s South Island. The picturesque Nelson region, on the northern shores of the South Island is home to their vineyards and winery. In recent years the second generation has joined the business, making the Seifrieds true family winegrowers.

The 2017 Seifried Estate Grüner Veltliner shows delicate floral characters with subtle spice aromas on the nose. The palate has a gentle attack, soft pear, and white pepper notes. Fine textured phenolics define the long palate which leaves lasting flavours.
