Bodegas Pittacum is a small family-owned winery that produces affordable, premium wines in the province of Bierzo, North-west Spain. Here, they produce this traditional artisan wine from the local Mencia grape using organic farming techniques and the wine spends around 8 months in American and French oak barrels. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, yet elegant and fruity with rustic charm. Best enjoyed with food and in a convivial atmosphere. This wine will also cellar well for ten years after vintage.
